Quick Guide:
Scanning QR Codes

Welcome! This tool helps you scan QR codes easily. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Allow Camera Access (first time only):

    • When you first use the scanner, your phone or browser will ask permission to use the camera.

    • Please tap "Allow" or "OK". The scanner needs this to see the QR code.

  2. Point Your Camera:

    • Hold your phone steady and point the camera at the QR code.

    • Try to fit the entire QR code inside the red square shown on your screen.

  3. Need More Light?

    • QR codes scan best in good light.

    • If it's dark, move to a brighter spot or use your phone's flashlight if possible.

  4. Having Trouble Scanning? Try Switching Cameras:

    • If the code isn't scanning, try a different camera on your phone.

    • Look for a "Camera:" dropdown menu (usually above the camera view). Tap it and select another option (like "Back Camera" or "Camera 2"). The back camera usually works best.

  5. Using the Selfie Camera? Fix the View:

    • If you switch to the front camera (selfie view), the QR code might look flipped or mirrored on your screen.

    • If this happens, just tap the "Toggle Mirror" button to make it look normal again.

Important Note: This QR code scanner is provided free of charge for non-commercial purposes, like helping out at this event. This means you shouldn't use it as part of a paid service or product without specific permission.

That's it! Once scanned, the information from the code should appear below the camera view.
