1. Virtual Events Are An Undeniable Norm
Organizers have stepped up their online skills. Three quarters of those surveyed reported that they had held a virtual event of some kind in the last year and around a quarter had done so six times or more.
2. Physical and Virtual Events Could Share Budgets Equally
Virtual events are big business. Almost half of industry members surveyed believe they will split their budgets between virtual and physical events 50/50. Meanwhile, a third will give virtual events precedence.
3. The Future Of Virtual Events Is Flexibility
As users, organizers have grown accustomed to running virtual events platforms and want more control. Event organizers have ranked flexibility as the most important element of the virtual events platform they choose.
4. Organizers Are Confident in Their Abilities
While not everyone is a live streaming master quite yet, around two thirds of respondents graded themselves as having average or better ability at running virtual events. While there’s still room to grow, that’s promising.
