We are excited to announce that EventX has become part of the 500 Startups Family last week for their Batch 19 program in Mountain View.
Joining 500 Startups will allow us accelerating improvements of our service. With 500 Startups expertise, infrastructure and network, hopefully, we will be able to improve our product and make it more powerful for our customers.
500 Startups is an early-stage startup program that invests in founders and accelerates growth and marketing. Their original plan was to invest in 500 companies. They’ve exceeded that goal by providing support to more than 1,700 tech startups since 2010. Companies invested by 500 Startups include Credit Karma, Grab, Intercom, Udemy, and Twilio.
This year, 500 Startups has specialized tracks in Health, Fintech, B2B and Fashion & Beauty. In Batch 19 in particular, it has again running tracks in B2B and Fashion & Beauty. EventX is happy to be one of the B2B companies in this batch.
In Batch 19, the diversity of companies remains strong. 49% of the companies are international and we are excited to be the only representative from Hong Kong. 29% of the companies have at least one female founder, whereas 22% of the companies have a black or LatinX founder.
